Rooted in Community Forestry, Driven by Grassroots Action
NGO Network Tanahun is a registered, non-profit, rights-based non-governmental organization rooted in Damauli, Tanahun. We serve as a vital bridge between civil society, community forest user groups (CFUGs), grassroots cooperatives, local authorities, and international conservation agencies.
By combining practical social mobilization with sustainable natural resource management, we turn shared conservation and development priorities into community-owned action across the Gandaki River Basin and the Chitwan-Annapurna Landscape (CHAL).

Integrated Approaches to Landscape & Human Well-being
Our strategic interventions are anchored across four core pillars designed to withstand climate shocks and empower marginalized mountain families.

Surendra Giri
Returnee Migrant & Commercial Livestock Farmer
“After receiving seed capital from the revolving fund and training in commercial livestock, I left my foreign employment in the Gulf to return to Tanahun. Today, my commercial goat and pig farm generates more than NPR 80,000 every month. Our community forest sustains our livelihoods—we now protect it like our own family.”
